UMX Opens Public Beta | Crypto-Friendly Securities Platform Now Live — 1 September, 2026

We would like to share an update: UMX, a crypto-friendly securities platform incubated by Avenir Group, is now open for public beta. Eligible users around the world can register and start using the platform today — no beta code or invitation code is needed.

UMX focuses on real US stocks, ETFs, and US stock options, and is built to address the challenges of separate digital-asset and securities account systems, complex cross-market workflows, and fragmented purchasing power.

For users who hold digital assets and want to allocate to securities markets, UMX makes it possible to buy US stocks without selling crypto first. Eligible existing securities positions can also be used for crypto trading, and certain wealth management assets can count toward margin without being redeemed first. By connecting securities and crypto accounts, UMX helps the same assets work across more trading scenarios.

  2. Crypto-Friendly Account Architecture: Buy US Stocks Without Selling Crypto Position UMX connects securities and crypto accounts with cross-market transfers, financing, and two-way stock/token conversions. Instantly convert USDT to USD for securities trading, or borrow against BTC and ETH to unlock securities buying power without selling. Eligible stock positions can also be tokenized for use as crypto trading margin and redeemed for the underlying securities when needed.

Ultimate Capital Efficiency: Enhancing Asset Utility Across More Scenarios UMX brings spot, margin, perpetuals, and options into a unified trading account, allowing eligible assets to share a common margin pool without repeated transfers between accounts. Eligible flexible savings, fixed-term savings, and yield-bearing stablecoins can also count toward margin at applicable haircuts, keeping assets invested or earning yield while supporting trading.
